Canaan Dog Alliance

Canaan Dog Alliance

On Episode 05 of Season 3, we speak with Hanna Faheem and Quinn Tew from Canaan Dog Alliance. Hanna and Quinn talk about their non-profit and mission to  build awareness and promote effective initiatives that protect animals and ensure their welfare. Not only is their mission to rescue and rehabilitate animals from suffering, but also work with their sister organization in the region to support their efforts in educating the public on the pressing issues regarding animal welfare in the Middle East.

About Canaan Dog Alliance

As an all women created US based non-profit animal rescue organization, our mission is to provide as many stray cats and dogs in the Middle East with the second chance at life that they deserve. We chose to work in this region due to the lack of resources, funds, and legal protection for animals. The lack of these necessary factors contributes to a societal perception that animals are filthy and evil, which are notions that are generationally inherited. Oftentimes, these unthinkable and senseless acts of violence are perpetrated by children who have been poisoned with these ignorant beliefs, fueling immense abuse in the forms of extreme acts of violence such as, lighting animals on fire, shooting and poisoning mothers and their puppies, and  bludgeoning strays to death. Since 2020, we have worked to unite people of all ages and backgrounds who share in the belief of a world where animals are free from cruel and inhumane treatment because we recognize that a more compassionate approach is one that serves all who belong to the community.
